Syndication? Anyone else prefer to watch shows entirely in syndication? It seems to me if you really enjoy a show (rather than it just being on), it is a lot more enjoyable watching one or two of them a day till you blow through the five or six years its on. If the show is at all complicated, you get a better idea of long term plots, etc.. All of this without having to wait around for next week or next year. Anyone else prefer it this way? I've done it for comedies like Seinfeld, half the Star Trek series, ER, Law & Order, and more and I like it more this way. How about you?
syndication? I write a column of "odd news" for my local paper. How do I go about making it a syndicated column that appears in several papers throughout the country? I know this is something that other columnists who cover national news do. I don't think that just sending my work unsolicited to a newspaper is going to work. Any ideas are helpful, thanks.
How do production companies earn revenue and what is syndication? I know companies earn revenue through advertising, but how do production companies make their money? Do they sell all of their rights to their video/film products? What is syndication? Are ads sold on a local level through the local networks or are they sold by NBC/ABC or other big companies and trinkle down the network? How is the network structured?
how do i get my tarot column into syndication? I write a tarot column for a local magazine. I would like to put it into syndication, so I can get published in more places. How do I go about it? I checked out online syndication services, they all have information only if you are seeking content, not providing it.
Why is a TV show's video quality so much worse in syndication than when it initially airs? I'm watching the pilot episode of House which is now in syndication, and the video quality is awful. This is a fairly new show, and the date on the pilot is 2004 - so we're not talking dramatic leaps in technology either (and I'm not talking about HD vs SD). It's airing on the same Fox station that I watched this past week's new episode, and the difference is day and night.
How can I syndication buttons in each blogger post? I have a video post in blogger then how can I put a repost link to that? How many Black comic strip cartoonists have reached syndication ? If you could provide names of the cartoonists that would be cool too. Also, a list of Black comic strip artists would help my cause. To the first person that commented, please dont make this a race issue, I am an African American doing research on Black comic strips.
What does it mean to have a television show in syndication? I was reading some King of Queens forums on TV.com, and it said the show went into syndication. The topic was about how long Doug & Carrie were married, saying that they sort of changed the amount of years around from 10-15 years at different times. What does it mean to put a show in syndication, and can you name some examples of syndication in The King of Queens?
Are there special syndication packages designed for BET? I notice that if I watch Judge Hatchett on BET there are very rarely white litigants and there are never cases where both litigants are white. On the other hand when I watch Judge Hatchett on FOX the racial balance is much more balanced . So I assume there is a special Syndication package tailored towards BET. Is this true of other syndication packages?
What's your favorite TV show in syndication? For anyone that doesn't know syndication means repeated on daily/regular basis or in other words the repeats. Also, what is your extent of your like or love for these repeated shows, have you missed anything or procrastinated in order to watch a rerun of an episode you've seen a million times before?
How is it chosen, what tv shows are played in what order, when they hit syndication? Recently, Scrubs has finally hit syndication on Comedy Channel and a local station. I have noticed they seem to play the same twenty shows. And I definately know they are NOT playing all of them. They are playing alot of the Emmy nominated shows. My Screwup, even though it is an awesome episode, has been driven into the grown, and lost it's effectiveness. Are they just trying to get a fan base so they run out and purchase all the seasons on DVD? I don't get it. Please help!
Is Big Brown worth a $50 mil stud syndication? I remember everyone saying Secretariat didn't turn out to be that good a racing producer, that his daughters actually were the better product in the long run. Is this horse that great a stallion prospect? I guess I'm just not that impressed here, am I missing something?

Why have so many local radio stations gone to syndication? We used to have such a warm and friendly format to our main local radio station, with all local personalities and snappy informative banter interspersed with middle-of-the-road talk and even some nice adult standard music. Then about ten years ago, the station was sold. Not much changed then, the same local personalities were kept with their own brand of entertainment, but a few syndicated programs were added, mainly to the mid-afternoon and late-night slots. However, about 3 years ago, another broadcast company acquired the station, fired everyone but the morning show host and has a continuous in-your-face syndicated talk format. Even the morning host has changed his persona form a fatherly icon to an abrasive and abusive loudmouth. What's going on the the radio business?
What is Youtube Syndication? I recently uploaded a video and its the only one I have that under raw video name and broadcast settings it says "Syndication - Complete" Whats this about? Thanks! Kev
Is Buffy on TV anymore in syndication? Buffy the Vampire Slayer used to be on TV in syndication all the time but I haven't seen it on TV in a long time. Is Buffy on tv anymore? What channel and what time if it is. Shouldn't this be on Sci Fi or something? Hmm..
How R actors' residuals from TV shows in syndication, + other revenue streams - DVDs- calculated? Merchandising , too.... I understand that it would different for a show like Seinfeld ( which JS created and co-produced) and another like Six Feet Under, which was on HBO... If you can explain the differences in how things are calculated for cable vs. regular network, would appreciate it..... I once read of a supporting actor from a network hour long drama receiving a cheque for under $1.00, it might have even been for less than a dime, I don't recall the details....
What is Google Syndication? A friend of mine has dialup connectivity on his PC. What is Google Syndication? Can anybody answer this for me?

Why has Captain Kangaroo never been released in syndication? Or even on DVD? You can access almost any other children's show that's ever existed, either in re-runs/syndication or on VHS/DVD. Why not the Captain? Is it a copyright issue? I'd love my 4 year old to be able to watch Mr. Greenjeans, Bunny Rabbit and Dancing Bear. Why is it unavailable?
How do I sell my newsworthy photo quickly to newspapers in the UK? I carry my camera around with me in London all the time. I often wonder, if I took a pic of an event or incident, how I would sell the picture to newspapers or news agencies quickly, without being ripped off. Are there any hedge fund managers interested in collaborating? With my current funding sources as it relates to creating a low risk syndication for entertainment projects. At the end of the day it one company alone should not have to bare the risk. It all can make sense if there is communication/collaboration/co-operations. It all has to make sense for it to work. The end result should be a profit to all party's involved.
